Billy Wilder writes "Nacho Libre"

This is from Cameron Crowe's "Conversation with Wilder". Interesting. Would have been nice, if they had given Wilder credit for his idea for "Nacho Libre". Or did they ?

credit - i wish billy wilder could have actually directed it! it would have been A LOT better than what they ended up with.

I would also have loved to se his Oskar Schindler, not that the Spielberg movie was bad, but imagine the depth and irony in the character if Billy had done it. But then again, his last movies sucked quite a bit....

I may be wrong, but I think this is not the only "idea" that has come out of that book. I read it long ago and I renenember I got angry because I found too much similarities with a project that had been done. It seems people find it hard to get an idea..... And they never let the poor wilder do a movie again... : (

Chances are Billy Wilder wouldn't have wanted his name on that thing.
