Richard Williams' Finders Keepers Gifts and Garbagecans

I'm so glad to see, that "I drew Roger Rabbit" is online on Youtube. Last week in Berlin I had to kill half an hour with my students and we snorkelt YouTube and we stumbled upon it. Check it out, if you haven't done so already: I especially like trhe 2nd part, with Dick's lecture on Walks right in the middle of Soho-Square with his little studio, #13, in the background. Right before "we" moved into The Forum" a former departmentstore in Camden.

Hans and I got quite a few cels from Dick's commercials as presents when we asked for them." Go ahead, take them". Dick himself didn't think of them very highly....The pink Panther-Cel I found one night when I was walking home after a stroll along Oxford Street, after " a hard day's work" and saw two big containers in front of Dick's old studio, filled to the max with stuff that apparently Dick hadn't found worthy enough to take along with him to the new location. The cel, incl. the effects sheet, cut together from scotch tape, was the first thing I pulled from the container. Later at home, I had it framed and it's still hanging over my desk.

great cells, and a great, albeit sad documentary. Got it somewhere on an old vhs. I work around the corner in Wardour Street now, and everytime I cross Soho Square I think of Williams with his pigeons and tramp!
