New Acquisitions

It wasn't Santa yet, just the guy from UPS, coming by this morning :

I have my problems with the silicon lips of the bride, otherwise a great, wonderful movie and a great book.

Guess what I'll do over the weekend.

So far I've only FLIPPED through the CORPSE BRIDE-book but I can already say that this is a must-have for any Art of-book-addicted person (like myself, at least when it's an animation-art of-book), even if you aren't a big Stop Motion-fan as this contains lots of pre-production-art and photos of the puppets etc. Buy it! Still waiting for the PINK PANTHER-book (I placed 2 different orders of course) but I'll add my 2 cents when I received it...

  4. Harald - I also had the same thoughts about the Brides vast pouting lips.
It is interesting to hear someone else mention it.
A minor quibble however as it's a lovely film.
I don't often comment on your blog, but I do visit everyday and it's always inspirational.
    Cheers.

  5. Great to know , I appreciate your and everyone's visits-I' teaching at the moment, so I don't have much time to update, but that'll change over the weekend.
Yes "bride" is a lovely movie, with soome major/minor flaws especially in story, (and I don't like the Lorre-worm) which we will forgive Mr Burton, as we always do ....H
