Burps and Farts

...or , as Mr. John Cleese said :"We have to entertain 14-year-olds, who have no taste, no sense of humor and no life-expierience."

  1. I think he's talking about 14 year olds of all ages. Some of them even make movies.

  3. Yeah, maybe, but at least once a year I'd like to see a movie that's targeted at me, my agegroup and our IQs, dealing with stuff I can identify and emphazise with.

  4. There are such movies, no doubt, "The Life Aquatic " for example was one of those, I'm just sad that "my companies"and "my artform" aren't part of that scene anymore. There definatly on their decline.
Not too long ago at sat in a lecture with Peter Greenaway and he said, great inventions and artforms ( like the renaissance, TV, Radio and of course cinema) always last 3 generations . One to invent it, one to take it to perfection , and the third to industrialize and destroy it .Sad , but he seems to be right. Instead of clinging to a dying artform, we should maybe be on the outlook for the next great thing, I think , .....on a bad day.

  5. try "Sideways". it's a comedy, and it's from Hollywood,
but it's an amazing film. fantastic script- very warm and REAL characters.
