They're here....Ze Zijn Er ...Sie sind da !

Nice quote

This is from an interview with Jerry Lewis.
I wish I had known this bit, when years ago a producer sayd to me in a job-interview : "They say, you're difficult."...

This is like from some kind of time bubble or something ...

How I wish they would come up with something new and funny for a change. Maybe a movie in the true sense of the word would be nice instead of a moving comicstrip. Just for once, something with a plot, characters and camerawork instead of illustrated oneliners, please .....

And in case you didn't notice : "Ficken und Pimmel "sagen isn't funny anymore and won't make a 12 year old blush, since people like Stefan Raab and other "kleine Arschlöcher" conquered the Feuilleton with their own primetime TV-shows years ago.

Poolside Reading III

Lovely , very funny book. My favorite quote though is from Keith Richards about creativity: >>I can't claim writing any of the Rolling Stones songs, all I can take claim for is being awake when they came in<<.
Why am I telling you all this ?

Springtime for Hitler

I found this videoclip quite funny and catchy, skillfully done and technically impeccable. Although it has been done before. I was a bit disappointed though with the comicbook and it's story, the churchill-phonepranks and rubbermask-jokes wore off rather quickly.

I'm glad to see, that Hitler is becoming a popculture character in Germany now as well, and somehow it seems like we now also are allowed to make jokes about our past.Or to quote Moers himself : " Is it possible to joke about Hitler? No, its necessary." I personally feel that one should be allowed to joke about each and everything, provided you're funny. Like these guys :

I was doing these drawings for a psychotherapy-based ad a couple of weeks back.
First thing to go of course was the un-pc cigar, before the whole thing was cancelled. Since the illustration was finished I thought I might just as well have some fun with it.

Financial Times Germany about the decreasing success of CG movies.
I told you I would do a lot of reading by the pool.

John Watkiss says "Hello ...."

Hey , I'm back, refreshed, tannend and mild mannered, in short: my old self again.
Many things have happend, while I was away, I will go through them one at a time.

First things first: John Watkiss has called, he's well and alive and he saw my entry on this very blog a while ago.
He asked me to tell you, that he has put up his own blog, which you will find under the above link and the great news is, that you can buy a "John Watkiss- Anatomy-Manual", which I would recommend for each and everybody, get it !!!!!!!, it's pure gold.
Needless to say any more, thanks John, check it out and have fun, H.
